A combination of associated computer instructions and
computer data definitions which enables computer hardware to perform a specific
task.
AssetWise manages software in the
following way:
- Document software (files
created by a word processor or CAD) as documents
- The executable software
which is loaded into a programmable device for machine interpretation (such as
firmware) as a physical item
- The executable software for
an application as a physical item
